Welcome back to Abandoning Cycles. In this episode, we explore how emotional pain, toxic relationships, stress, and trauma can become stored within the body. Together, we discuss the chrysalis phase of healing — learning to release what no longer serves you through breath, awareness, and preservation of your energy.

This episode also includes a guided meditation to help release emotional pain from both the mind and body, creating space for peace, harmony, and healing.

Remember: what the mind holds, the body carries.

Peace, light, and love.

Hi, and welcome to Abandoning Cycles. My name is Tone and I am a holistic and spiritual life coach. If you're here, it's not a coincidence. This episode found you for a reason. You may be a light traveler, a healer, a conduit, or an empath, alright, or simply someone looking for answers. Whatever your reason is for being here, you are welcome here. I hope this is able to help you in your journey to becoming a better you. Or at least the version of you that you would like to see in the future. This episode is I like to say the end of our dark, kind of chrysalis phase. This is where we start to come out of that chrysalis phase because we have worked so diligently on on ourselves and done the shadow work and to really identify a lot of things that we need in order to be able to heal, to overcome identifying a lot of things that we just may need to be able to let go of mentally or emotionally. But this episode is very special because we speak about, you know, how that emotional pain, not just the mental, but the emotional pain that we have endured really affects our mental state beyond the basic, right? And really sits with our physical state so much more. This episode is all about what the mind holds, the body speaks or carries. And this is where we do a little bit of a little bit of soul digging, a little bit more, to really identify what we're holding on to physically, from our emotions and our mental state that we no longer need to carry. Have you ever felt pain in your body from a toxic relationship or situationship? Because let's face it, those do exist. And if so, how long has your body been storing and k and carrying that pain? And did you know that you could release the emotional pain through your breathing? Just a simple breath exercise or technique. This is where we begin in our chrysalis phase, in the stage of our chrysalis phase. This is where we begin to identify and release emotional pain, stress, or even trauma endure from those toxic relationships or situationships. Right. We really start to identify what we've been holding on to for so long and why it needs to be released. Did you know that when we endure a lot of stress or trauma or pain emotionally, it is stored in our internal organs in our body, and it's released through our breathing. And sometimes we don't even realize what is causing this increase in pain in our bodies is these inflammatories, as one may call them, or refer to them. It just lives with us, it stays with us. And not only do we carry on to other relationships emotionally but physically we also do. These are the same things that increase our defense mechanisms. These are the same things that keeps us not wanting to fully move forward with the next relationship because we are afraid that the same thing might repeat itself in the next relationship from the previous relationship. How many times have you heard or said I have to protect my peace? And what does this mean to you? How do we do this exactly? How do we protect our peace? This may be look this may look different for everybody. However, deep healing and shadow work may look like preserving your energy by beginning to release the heavy, stored, painful weight from the body and work towards crystallizing preservation for peace and harmony. This is the next stage, the next phase in the crystalist is once you now have gone through this journey, and if you've been with me from the beginning, then wow, you know, you know exactly what these phases this journey has looked like, right? Really identifying, you know, that there is an issue, that something is wrong in your relationships, and then really, you know, knowing when to cut them off and sitting in silence, and then really setting those boundaries, and then after we set the boundaries, now we can really put forth the work to really heal ourselves. And this is why we're in the chrysalis phase now to be able to really identify where the pain lies from emotional toil, from emotional heaviness. So let me ask you, where does your pain lie after that relationship that didn't go well? And it doesn't have to be an intimate partner, it doesn't have to be a friend, it could be a family member, and it could really hurt you in very similar ways or different ways. But really, in looking at those relationships that you had, hopefully you've made the decision, the best decision for yourself to take a step back or cut the person off if you feel like there was no way of salvaging that relationship or situationship. And now that we have sat in silence and we have processed a lot of that inner deep dark pain, now we can start working on just recognizing what needs to be released from the body in order to move forward. So I asked you again, where does the pain lie? And if you don't know, hopefully, and I say hopefully, this special technique that we will do will help you to identify that throughout your journey in this next couple of weeks. So as we move towards just releasing a lot of that heavy emotional pain, know that it takes more than just one time, you know, to go through certain techniques to really start to heal yourself and really feel like yourself again. And if you haven't felt like yourself in a long time, then that might be something to explore as well. But hopefully, through this journey, all of these things that we discuss or that we engage in together through these episodes will benefit you mentally, emotionally, physically in a positive light and not a negative. And if you've never sat in the light just a little bit, or if you're afraid of the light because your mind catastrophizes things to the worst possible outcome because you're used to the comfort zones and the toxicness from those comfort zones and the chaos, then let me remind you, as I've said in previous episodes, you may not be ready for the light, but it cannot always be dark. At some point, you have to be go out and come out from the shadows, even if it's for a couple of seconds, to let the light in. And hopefully that little bit of time that you let that light in allows you the time to be able to recognize what you so desperately need in that moment, and that you deserve to be happy, or at least deserve to be better than how you may be feeling at this time, if you're not already any your peace and harmony. So, with that being said, for this episode, we're gonna try a little something a little different. We're gonna finish the episode in a guided meditation as an example of how to release emotional pain from the body through breathing and releasing. I typically only engage my clients in in guided meditation, my own personal clients. So this is the first time that I've actually done it for others um who are part of podcasts or episodes. Um however, the universe has been nudging me to add this to my podcast, particularly this episode. I am I'm not sure why. Um, and I'm not gonna question what the universe, my angels, my guides, my spirits, my divines have asked me to do. Um, but hopefully it helps someone uh through along on their journey, and even if it's just one person that it helps, I am very grateful for what the universe has nudged me to do. So let's get started. So hopefully you're you're sitting in a space where you're very comfortable, and and if you're not, let's say you're driving or you're doing something, um, it might be a little bit difficult to follow. So if you want to listen to it, see the you know, hear the flow of it before really getting in a quiet space to be able to engage in this, then hey, you know, I you're more than welcome to do whatever makes you feel comfortable at this time. But this guided meditation most definitely needs your full focus and attention, and all my guided meditations are different depending on whatever you know the individual is experiencing or going through, and whatever needs to be released. But this one is um very dear uh to my heart, and I really hope it resonates with you. Hey, so with that being said, let's get started. As we go through this guided meditation, I'm going to ask you to take a deep breath. And when we're ready, you're gonna hold a little bit longer and you're gonna release a little bit longer, and we're gonna go through this together. Hopefully, my breathing doesn't come through the mic too strong. I will try to back up a little bit so it does not interfere with your breathing, your process, because this is that's what's important right now at this time. Okay, as I speak throughout the guided meditation, you can breathe normally as you regularly would. And if even if you need to take another breath after the two deep breaths in between, you know, each segment, you are more than welcome. Do whatever makes you feel right with your soul. Alright. So let's get started. Deep breath in hold exhale, deep breath in, hold exhale. Oh, and I probably should have explained that when we take a deep breath in, if it helps to count, you're more than welcome to do so. Okay. So if you want to count to five, hold for six, and release for seven, you're more than welcome to do so. That's kind of what it looks like. I want you to visualize that you're standing in a room, and this room can have whatever you want in it that makes you feel comfortable, or it can have nothing in it if that makes you feel comfortable too. It could be a bright room with doors, of course, in and out, okay, it could be a hallway, or it can have all your favorite things in there that make you feel whole and complete. Now, I want you to visualize a ball of energy in this corner, a ball of light energy in this corner of the room wherever you see this light. And this light can be whatever color you want it to be. It can be pink or white or orange or just a luminescent of different, ever so changing colors. And as you gaze at this ball of light, this ball of this energy, you it could be whatever size you want it to be. And its rays, its energy are so powerful, so profound that you feel it. And it feels so warm or cool, whatever you prefer. But it makes you feel relaxed and whole. Just being near it, seeing it. I want you to sit with the feeling that this ball of light is giving you in this moment. Deep breath in hold exhale deep breath in hold exhale. The next thing I want you to think about is as you gaze at this ball of light that is whatever color you may see it as, whatever size it may be, I want you to imagine that you in this ball of light become one. Whether you're wearing it as boots or a hat, or maybe a watch or a scarf, or maybe this ball of light has become one with your heart. I want you to imagine that this ball of energy is giving you everything that you need at this time to be able to feel whole and complete at peace, whatever it is that you need. And as it has connected with you, and giving you so much of its energy, I want you to next imagine that this ball of energy is disconnecting from your body, wherever it was, and returning back to its original shape. And as it leaves, I want you to visualize or imagine if it breaks like glass as it leaves and returns back to its original shape. Does it flow like water? Does it burst into bubbles? Does it disperse into energy rays? As it returns back to its original shape, and as it leaves and returns back to its original shape. What has it given you at this time that you need to be able to move forward in your life at this time? I want you to sit with this feeling that has left you with deep breath in hold.

The last thing I want you to think about is as this ball of light has returned back to its original shape. Is it the same color? Is it the same size? Does it look different? And what did that ball of energy take with it as it left your body? Did it take away some of your pain? Did it take away some of your stress or anxiety? I want you to think about what it took with it away from you, from your body, that you don't need at this time, that your body maybe have been holding on for so long. And now your body does no longer carry it because it no longer has use for it anymore. And maybe the ball of energy, if you see it in different color, has changed because Because it has taken away some of that weight that you no longer need in your life that you held on to for so long. And as you think about what it has taken away from you, I also want you to think about what it gave you that allowed you to be a lot more grounded, comfortable, at peace. I want you to sit with this feeling. Deep breath in hold.

If you are in a comfortable seated position and your eyes were closed, gently rotate your shoulders, stretch out your neck, open your eyes, and come back. Hopefully, the guided meditation helped you. If visualization felt difficult during the guided meditation, it may be a sign that your mind is overwhelmed with mental clutter, and that's that's okay. Healing is a journey, right? So if it just to reiterate, if it was difficult for you to visualize what I was describing through this guided meditation, then your mind just may be filled with so many things that really interfere with your ability to see, create that picture, that visual of letting go, of that pain, the emotional pain from the body that no longer serves you. And if that's the case, then maybe it's time to create the space to be able to visualize what is needed throughout this process of releasing and letting go of what no longer serves you. So as we close out, remember what the mind holds, the body carries. Hopefully, in this moment of silence, away from people who did not benefit you, you are doing the shadow work to heal and release what no longer serves you. And with that being said, I wish you all the best on your journey. And like always, peace, light, and love. Take care of yourselves.
